Is Kamala A Straight Shooter?I

Kamala Harris’s seemingly offhand remark about guns the other week was an interesting attempt to reach reasonable gun owners.

But like so many Democratic public relations efforts, it was probably ineffective.

Defusing the fears of those who feel that Democrats threaten gun rights was a damn good idea.  But talk isn’t enough.  In fact, it might be counterproductive.

She has to come out shooting.

If Kamala owns a gun and is prepared to use it, she presumably has undergone gun safety and shooting training.  Many people have doubts about her veracity.  Demonstrating her proficiency - or better, her comfort - with firearms  - would help dispel those doubts and give her a huge edge on Donald Trump, who talks tough but has never been seen driving, much less shooting.

Many male politicians have fired weapons in ads to dem their presumed toughness.  Kamala’s doing the same would do that, and more.
