Joe Brings It!

There were lots of questions before last night’s State of the Union.

Joe answered them.

His speech was very political, perhaps too much so, and very pugnacious.  But he did what he had to do: showed himself feisty, strong, fun, positive, and optimistic.  Also long-winded.  But the strength of his voice for an hour and a half demonstrated his vigor, and his cheerful loquaciousness before and after the speech evoked the old expression “Happy Warrior.”

Nit pickers -that is, Americans - will undoubtedly find fault with the speech.  Too political, and not enough.  Too detailed, and not specific.  Needed more, and less.

But he put Trump and the Republicans in their place.  And he showed his age isn’t the issue Republicans and the media have made it out to be.

He provided historical perspective, he showed the contrast between his positive, patriotic vision, and that of the negative, treasonous, treacherous approach of his Republican rival and his supporters.

Most important, he showed he’s a leader.

The only one who’s a major contender for president.
