Hold Their Words Against Them

Over the years many Republicans have publicly disparaged Donald Trump.

They’ve probably expressed more vicious disdain for him as a man and as a leader than Democrats have.

Yet Democrats have never used their words against him.  Only the Lincoln Project - a Republican-led operation - seems to have recognized the value of weaponizing their past statements against Trump and his collaborators in the Republican Party.

The videos of these politicians’ past statements are a low-cost, potentially powerful weapon that Democrats should use on media as well in paid ads.  They should also encourage mainstream media to demand that politicians explain their flip-flopping, hypocrisy, and lies.

Why should anyone trust political whores whose words mean nothing?  It’s a good question to ask the public while showing old and new footage of them contradicting themselves.
