The Best Justice Money Can Buy?

John Robert’s used to be seen as a conservative jurist with honor and integrity.

No longer.

Under his “leadership,” the Supreme Court is neither revered nor trusted. His reputation for moderation , comity, and concern for the Court’s reputation is shot to hell.

This Court has shown contempt for precedent and the Constitution. It has been an activist court, overturning laws, upsetting societal and governmental norms, and chaos in courts throughout the country.

Which means it’s fair, even obligatory, to ask how much money it took to get him to whore himself.

Democrats in Congress should be pushing to investigate him. So should the media.

Unbiased journalist and elected officials should demand no-holds-barred interviews with him If he refuses, expose him to the public. It might once have been disrespectful to question his integrity. But he has given up any claims to respect by the way he’s trashed both his and the court’s reputations. He deserves no consideration unless he earns it back..

We already know that Clarence Thomas has received generous “gratuities” for his efforts to corrupt the court.  We don’t know all of his patrons but they include some of the wealthiest right-wing interests in America. His wife is one of the most influential figures on the right and has dedicated herself to overthrowing our democracy.

Samuel Alito has always been a partisan hack.  His decisions are filled with non-Constitutional references, including religious and foreign comments that have no place in American jurisprudence. How he’s been allowed to get away with it all these years in beyond comprehension.

We know that at least one of our Justices has been bought. We need to know about the others, and we especially need to know if foreign interests have corrupted them.

Every Democrat should demand Senate hearings down. Do to Republican operatives what Republican Congresspeople have done to Democratic officials and independent civil services.
