Joe, Could You Be Less Inspiring?
President Biden went to Wisconsin to announce the rebuilding of a bridge.
Such events are rarely inspiring. But the picture that accompanied the article in The New York Times was downright depressing.
It’s not what you’d see from Donald Trump. He’d have balloons, music, and a cheering crowd. He’d be basking in the glory of birthing a bridge for the people of Wisconsin.
Biden’s event looked like a funeral that just died.
What are Biden’s people thinking? Don’t they know that a picture is worth a thousand words?
When Bill Clinton ran the campaign theme was “It’s the economy, stupid.” Biden’s people should remember that in 2024 it’s the optics, stupid.
One plus: at least no Republicans showed up to take credit for the funding. For this administration, that’s a step in the right direction.
